  • NXT 2.0, first update

Since it's been almost exactly a month since first applying the 2.0, I thought I'd post an update. Although I can't say too much about durability because about midway through the month, I added another coat - because I felt the "need to wax," not because the 2.0 was showing any signs of needing replenished.

First off, the car has only been washed once since the second application of 2.0 (last week) and I've driven about 500 miles during that time in both rain and sun, so you know there is a lot of road crud/bug carcasses all over the car, but as I type, I can look out the window and see the water from last night's rain beading up all over the car despite all of the accumulated dirt.

My second major impression of 2.0 came to me a few days after applying the original coat. The depth (richness?) and color have gone from red to RED!!

It's interesting because not only is the paint showing a richness of color normally associated with a carnuaba, it also has the shine/gloss typical of a synthetic. The best part is that the affects 2.0 has had on the paint haven't seemed to have diminished, except when muted by dirt & road grime build up and even then it's mostly the shine that's diminished, not the depth...and that's only until the car is washed then all is good again.

NXT 2.0 is a great product, I think that many improvements were done to it and it's a plus! One wax that you have to have!

Thanks for the update. Nxt 2.0 is another home run from Meguiars.

I love NXT 2.0 and its the only wax i currently use on my vehicle. You know another good thing i have noticed. If it gets dirty you can use a pressure washer and just spray it off and it will look like you just washed your car. I think its because of the slickness or the wax. The dirt cant stick to the surface of the car as easily. Have you guys noticed this to?

I could not agree more!! While I had a good Meguiars shine to begin with, NXT 2.0 makes my very RED GTI really pop but what do you think?

Yeah, that's about how the paint on my Suzuki looks now.

I applied my first ever NXT 2.0 to my daily driver on April 25th. Even after several bird bombs (easily removed because of NXT), the paint looks great, and thanks to my every 1-3 day duster and QD, it is still smooth as glass.)
