  • Scratch X Question

I bought Scratch X a few months back, either from Autozone or Pepboys and I've used it only three times since I bought it and I had a question about it, which I noticed on my second use and really noticed today, on my third.

When I was using it the second time around (by hand) I noticed that as I was working the product into the paint, a watery type liquid was almost being squeezed out of the product. At the time I figured that there might be some water in my applicator pad and as I was pushing on it, the pad was actually releasing the fluid.

However, I was using it again today, with a brand new applicator pad (never used for anything - straight from the package) and I noticed it again. I made sure I shook the product before application (and I shook it quite well), yet the liquid persists.

Is this normal or could there be some problem with my Scratch X? The product seems to still work (I was able to remove some fine scratches, but not a more noticeable one). Let me know what you think.

    Re: Scratch X Question

You might want to try and knead it in a bit more in the tube.. . hard to shake it really.

I think I have gotten a little watery stuff though as well.

I agree, I have seen it like that before if it sits there for a while but like Murr said just work the tube real good and then shake it. It went back to normal for me.

Around the second time I used it. I noticed some water in the product. Worked the tube and shook it uo the best I could. Never had that problem again.
