  • NXT Generation -VS- Other Meguiars

I have been an avid Meguiar's user for years. I use the 5 step system, Cleaner Wax by itself and the Mirror Glaze products, depending on the car that I am detailing.

My question is how everyone, that has used the products, likes the NXT Generation Tech products. I have been hesitant to experiment with them since the other products are tried and true.

I live in the Chicago area and am subject to everything from 5 months worth of salted roads to 3 months worth of 90 plus degree heat, and all variables in between.

While I know that this question has undoubtedly been asked before, I was hoping to get peoples input on a comparison to the other products.

Thanks in advance for you time.

Fixed the font coding, should read better, anytime you want to copy and paste from another text program, you can always click on this button,

Which is in the upper left hand corner of the message box and it will switch your message formatting box over to "Code View" and then copy and paste your text into the message box.

This will prevent unseen formatting by the other text editing software from being copied into you message unseen and making things all wacky.

As for your question, we'll let others chime in on what they think.

Re: NXT Generation -VS- Other Meguiars

I am a big fan of the NXT line and use them on a daily basis. I use NXT Tech wax 2.0, spray wax, glass cleaner, tech protect, all metal polish, and the NXT car wash and love them all. I also use almost all the other Megs products as well and what it really comes down to is preference and what you are looking to get out of the product. What i mean by that is NXT Tech Wax is not the same as GC Wax but its not necessarily better its just different they both offer great protection and they both have there good qualities but what really matters is what looks best in your eyes and what product applies and removes they way you like. I may like the way NXT wax goes on and off but others may not. If you are hesitant because you are not sure they are good products than just remember that Megs does offer to fully refund your purchase if you are not satisfied with one of their products just send them back the unused portion ( i don't work for Megs so I'm not 100% on all the details on this but i know its something they offer) so there is really nothing to lose but i will give my input and say that it is definitely worth it to try it out and see how you like it i know i love it and like most of all the other Megs products they smell good to .

Nxt 2.0 and #21 2.0 are certainly the newest technology Meguiars has to offer, and seem very popular. I am still using up my old #21 before I can try the new.

I like very much NXT 2.0 and the old version as well. Some time ago I used the NXT Glass cleaner and it's a great product and also the all metal polish the nxt line has.

It's a great line, sometime you just have to chance the line like from Gold Class to NXT or Mirror Glaze or Detailer, it's a matter of convenience but non the less it's a great line.

Re: NXT Generation -VS- Other Meguiars

Well, All I know that I trust meguiar's products. And the NXT are the newest. So, I'm sure they are the best.

              I used:

              1- NXT Car wash
2- NXT Tech wax liquid, paste and spray (we still don't have 2.0 in the market and i bought the spray wax after I though it's similar to the UQD but IT IS NOT)
              3- NXT Glass Cleaner
              4- NXT All metal cleaner
              5- NXT Speed detailer
              6- NXT tech protect

Well I do use meguiar's priduct similar to the NXT products I mentioned above and they still work great. But NXT are my favorites.

I said I trust Meguiar's and No dought I'll buy any product they release as soon as It reaches the market.

Re: NXT Generation -VS- Other Meguiars

Interesting to see what others think because (of late) all I use is the NXT line, but I just left Lowe's and they had the Gold Class Wax on sale for $8.98 so I had to buy it. Now I'm just wondering how to use it? Should I top my NXT 2.0 with it, or vice versa?

The wax is great. The glass cleaner is great. Metal polish works great. Honestly, I have no complaints about the NXT line at all.

Thanks for all the feedback. I am really hesitant to swith, because of the amount of other products I currently have and because they are all tried and true. But I know there is the guarentee. I think I will run my other products out and give it a shot but I know I will never stop using my Gold Class products, especially the wax. I have tried every other Meguiars (excluding NXT) and several other manufactures products and I always go back to the Gold Class, because I am amazed at the results everytime.

NXT and now 2.0 is my choice. I have been using Meguiars for years and now that I want to spend a little less time clean, etc. I can keep the exterior in tip top longer between full 5 step cleanings

Personally, I don't believe you can go wrong with ANY Meguiar's products. I love the NXT Tech Wax on my Azure Blue Mach 1. I haven't tried 2.0 yet, cause I have another bottle of the first generation to use first. I prefer Gold Class on my 7-UP Car, which is a Emerald Green Metallic paint. On my daily driver Cloud 9 White Focus, I opt for the Cleaner Wax.

All of these products are exceptional...

Re: NXT Generation -VS- Other Meguiars

I have GC wax, 21, 26, 16, ColorX and NXT 2.0. I like them all and each of them I think will shine great.

I love 26 and NXT 2.0. GC wax looked great on our Yukon (gold color, coincidence, GOLD Class, Gold Color???). NXT 2.0 and earlier version looks great on our Neon which is orange blast in color.

I like the GC line, but I think I like the NXT and 26 and 21 as well. Too many good products they make....hard to say for me. I use them all. I think when I run out, I'll stick with NXT 2.0, 26 and 21. Haven't used my 16 yet, saving that for the kid's '66 Dodge D100 SS paint

If I were you I'd just use the Gold Class wax until it is gone; it is a great wax in its own right, probably the best value you'll find at that price point. It's not like it isn't any good. It looks great and protects your car well, which is what you want it to do!

If you're looking to combine the products, I'd recommend you try it both ways and see what you think.
