  • NXT Booster question

I'm running low on NXT (do you have any idea how hard it is to pry cash from the wife!?!?!), so I started using the Booster. In the last two days, I've put 3 applications on my car (notice I didn't say 'layers' ? )

Anyhow, I love the way it looks and how slick it leaves the paint. What I'm wondering is how long (figuring that the booster is being applied over a fully prepped and sealed surface) should I expect multiple applications of the Booster to last? I mean how does the Booster compare to the 'regular' NXT?

    Good question Don,

I don't know the answer, I guess it depends on how you treat the car. I put the booster wax on our Pilot after every wash if I'm not going to apply a normal coat of wax.

Once you get the hang of applying it and removing it, it's fast and our black Pilot always looks like it was just detailed.

I've never have been a fan of spray waxes but the NXT Booster is just so dang easy (and fast) that I gave it a chance, and the shine/gloss/depth/warmth that it leaves, not to mention how slick the surface feels...

I applied it to the whole car like any other wax, then went around and removed it with a MF. I put the 2nd application on yesterday morning when the car was completely in the shade (Megs foam applicator). Then later in the afternoon, I applied it again (about 6 hours later (terry covered foam applicator) and the car was in mostly in the sun (late afternoon angled sunlight). Still there was no smearing or hazing upon removal, and the finish was absolutely awesome.

I will say that the terry/foam applicator layed down a (relatively) thicker coating which I liked, but it was still a dream to remove.

Unfortunately, it works a little too good
I detailed my car in May with #20 as the final layer. Since then I have used the booster wax after every wash (I prefer the apply it wet method) and the car still beads like crazy and is as smooth as glass. I said unfortunately above because I like to detail my car about once a month, but I just couldn't justify doing that! Two weeks ago I finally broke down and detailed it again. Washed it last nite and applied the booster wax...the torment starts again.

I'm not sure how long the booster wax last but to me it doesnt matter how long cause this stuff is so easy to use, Its a shame to call this stuff a spray wax cause all the other spray waxes just dont compare.

                Hey,

I doubt it is the wax that is attracting bees but rather the color of the car. I know a lot of people that are having the same trouble with their yellow cars.

For some reason, at least around here, it is a horrible year for Wasps, Hornets etc... . I am not sure where it was, but somewhere in the US some kids through rocks at a, (get this!) 500 lbs bee hive!!! I guess the fire dept. had to shut down the area for several blocks as people were getting stung by the angry bees!! Yikes!!

Well...I had a white truck once where it was the favorite color for birds! Every time I drove under the lift span of our bridge, the birds were sitting up there waiting! LOL!!
