  • Shelf life of Rich Leather wipes?

I had a detail this weekend with a car that had a leather interior, and I took some wipes I had for about a year, maybe year and a half. They were completely dried out when I pulled them out to use. Is there a recommended use by a certain time frame?

This is why I don't use wipes anymore. Sometimes they dry out and somtimes all of the product settles to the bottom of the container so only the bottom portion of each wipe is saturated. I have sworn off wipes completely.

We'll check to see if theres any recommendation for using these wipes up after you've broken the airtight seal under the lid.

Thanks for taking the time to look into that Mike.

Although, with the somewhat infrequent usage of the product, I may just have to move to foam.

There is no official statement on how long the wipes will last once the airtight safety seal has been removed.

The problem is that once the safety seal is removed, air can get into the container and thus dry the wipes out. In most cases wipes are used up rather quickly so it's not an issue.

If you find you're not using wipes very often then it would probably be a good idea to switch to a lotion, spray or foam.

I would consider this very much

or if you have an air vacuum system for your food you can use this

This is how I fix that problem, lol:

I just pop the cap off and put a regular glad sandwich bag over the top and put the cap back on over it. Sealed again like brand new.

Use a ziplock bag, kind of cumbersome, but keeps them moist, the above idea is a great idea too!.
