Bug acid and upholstery.

Hey guys,

I managed to squash a decent size bug on my leather seat today (07 TSX). Upon doing so, I wiped off the bug guts with my finger. When I got home, I took a wet micro fiber towel and wiped the area then dried it. Anyway's, I was wondering if I need to apply more conditioner to that area now? My main concern is the bug acid discoloring my ebony interior. Would a bug (when smashed) on the leather eventually discolor it?

Applying a good cleaner/conditioner/protectant product couldn't hurt and will help to insure that any substance from the bug that your eyes can't see is removed.

No way of telling until some time goes by... you would be better off to error on the side of caution and clean the affected area using a quality leather product with a name you trust.
