Hey Everyone,
Over the last month and a half, I have been testing Meguiar's Hot Rims Chrome Polish on various chrome bumpers, and other chromed accessories. How does the product perform? In a word: AWESOME!

I have all kinds of different metal/chrome polishes both from Meguiar’s as well as several from other manufacturers. Some work really well on some metals and not others. But the biggest challenge was finding a metal polish that worked well on chrome that did not add light hazing, or did not cause you to spend a lot of time trying to removing the residue or smears from the polish. If you have polished chrome before, you will know that smears from some polishes are difficult to remove. Not so with Meguiar’s Hot Rims Chrome Polish. It simply left a clean, reflective, and beautiful finish!
For years when it came to chrome, I ended up using one of my favorite products that was designed for paint but works extremely well also for chrome: Meguiar’s #20 Polymer Sealant. But from my recent testing, that may be about to change!
Meguiar’s New Hot Rims Chrome Polish is a white thick liquid/gel that has very little odor to it. I tend to apply the product using a Meguiar’s Supreme Shine microfiber towel, working the product in thoroughly. I work the chrome polish to the point that it is almost gone and then I use another microfiber towel to wipe it off, buffing it to a brilliant shine! On every piece of chrome I have tried it on, I was simply amazed at both the results and the user friendliness of the product. Some products have a very strong chemical smell to them, Again, not so with the new Chrome Polish.
At the end of a long detail, it is the extra touches that cause one paint finish to stand out from another. This also holds true for trim pieces and especially chrome as real chrome grabs ones’ eyes and draws you to the vehicle. I enjoyed the product so much, that I now wish more new vehicles had chrome on them!
Here are a few pictures.

And the results after only a few minutes of work:

And finally, like I said, the added touch to the chrome just completes the whole package!

This is going to be one product that I will be using on every detail where there is chrome!
