Well im sure you will hear this answer from many people but i am going to say NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 !!! it does not powder up like some others but you still have to watch getting on trim. It will leave you with that head turning deep wet shine you are looking for, not to menchon the durability and water beating

If you want to really turn heads claybar the truck and then try out the 3 step Deep Crystal system but replace the deep crystal carnuaba wax with the NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 and im sure you will be really impressed at what the outcome looks like

Like Derrickg32069 said, I would probably recommend the NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0. It's fully synthetic so it will be easy to work with (to apply and remove) while putting down one of the longest lasting protections that we have to offer. It also contains a lot of polish to provide as much depth and shine as possible. It should do quite well on you black Tacoma!

          Re: Help on picking product

Another wax you can try is #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax, it's from the professional line and it works great on black / dark paints.

I have to say that it doesn't last as long as NXT 2.0 or #21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0 but visually it sure turns heard!

But you can start testing meguiar's waxes, all of them are very high quality waxes so you can start testing and comparing which one you like more and which one gives you better results for your taste

            Re: Help on picking product

While NXT 2.0 is great I would recommend #26 as well.

Of course if wax on trim is a major concern you could try Turtle Wax ICE. That stuff is decent and will not powder or leave a residue should it touch your trim.

If wax does get on your trim I have had great results with some Qiuck Detailer and a terry cloth, a brisk wipe with the claybar or Stoners/Meguiars Exterior Trim Detailer to remove wax.

EDIT: Apparently Yalerd had the same thought at the exact same time!

              Re: Help on picking product

I broke down finally and got some NXT 2.0 and then waxed my truck with it this afternoon. As you can see mine is a lighter color and I have got to tell you. I am a moron for waiting for so long to get the 2.0. I can only imagine what it would look like on a darker color. Best thing about it, took me just a bit under an hour to apply and remove. NXT 2.0 has my vote. Hope that helps. The pix in my signature is older, used Gold class as a base then kept it maintained with original NXT. I'll have to update the pix.
