Greatings, what is a good meguiars product to use to polish my rims, what is the things to look out for?

If they are painted and have any type of clearcoat on them they should be treated just like the paint on your car. Try some ScratchX to clean and your favorite wax to protect. That is of course after you have washed them to remove all the brake dust and grime before applying the ScratchX.

That's correct. Treat the coating, if it's paint, treat it like paint.

If these are a factory wheel, then it's not lacquer paint, if some guy in his garage painted them, then it cold be lacquer paint as lacquer is fairly easy to mix and spray with just about any old siphon spray gun and an air compressor.

If you're unsure, you should try to contact either the car manufacture or the wheel manufacture and do your best to find out exactly what you have so a mistake isn't made.
