    Hi RockPick,

You know, I have seen photo's of your truck on your other Gallery site and they look impressive. Is it me, the camera, or do the two photo's above actually look like you have taken your finish to a higher level?

        Thanks guys!

Mike... yeah, I sincerely believe that I've achieved another level with the NXT. I haven't changed cameras!

I don't think I've ever had this much gloss and depth... I've been a LONG TIME Meguiar's advocate and achieving results like this with products that are designed to meet my needs simply drives home the notion that Meguiar's continues to make the best products for me to achieve my polishing goals.

The NXT/#26 combo is going to be a tough duo to beat!

                RP,

                Looks great!

BTW, the "orange peel" is standard equipment on all Ford trucks!

Rockpick ... I might have missed it somewhere but... Is that NXT only? If not what other products did you use?

Strange that they don't mention it on the sticker! LOL! I've only seen two or three FoMoCo products that didn't appear to have OP and, I only noticed while glancing. Both, ironically, were Mustangs.

The hood shot is NXT topped with #26. The side shot is simply NXT.

The procedure used was pretty basic. Clay, #9, NXT (and then #26 in a few test zones).

Thanks! NXT first as it is my understanding that NXT would have a difficult time bonding over a carnauba.

Also, I should note that I didn't notice much of a difference when I initially applied #26 over NXT as there was already a CONSIDERABLE amount of 'POP' and it was difficult to distinguish any deeper color or general depth. But, after about 2 days, I was able to tell a definite difference. My wife, which thinks I'm silly with all this polish/wax stuff, even claimed that she noticed a difference without me telling her the difference between both sides of the hood. That really confirmed that it had a different look as I just couldn't really see a huge difference.

I'm going to allow the #26 to stay on in certain places and see if I can get a difference in durability or sheeting/beading over the long haul but, from a color depth and gloss perspective, the NXT/#26 combo seems to be tough to beat on my Chestnut King Ranch!

Thanks man. I'm, shall we say, obscessive compulsive about this truck. Further, I'm the president of a King Ranch Ford Truck Owners Club (international membership up around 100 people) and I'm very involved in numerous Ford Truck boards (as well as nearly all of the detail forums).

Needless to say, I love my vehicles.
