Cleaner wax?

I finally bought the Smooth Surface Clay Kit and clayed my mom's white 98 Civic that had NEVER been clayed before. When I finished I decided to use the small bottle of cleaner wax it came with to protect the car meanwhile I get the G110. I applied it on the roof and the applicator pad (purple) turned white (i'm guessing because it's a single stage paint). Does it need to be worked in like cleaners/polishes or does it just have to be applied like waxes? Does it have to haze or can it be wiped right off?

Work it in some... not as much as ScratchX. Then let dry to a haze like a wax.
