    Hi Paul,

What pads are you using with your G220?

Does the unit actually come with a pad or not? I assume you bought a package with some pads.

I have just ordered some sonus pads (Sonus SFX-1 Swirl and Scratch Removal Pad, Sonus SFX-2 Paint Polishing Pad, Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish & Wax Pad) for my G220 when it arrives.

    Regards,
    Downesy

      Hi Downesy

I purchased some pads from the USA seperately from Autogeek and had them shipped. I use the W7006 mostly with #80 or #83 depending upon the detail required. I just hand wash afterwards and allow to air dry....they seem to last OK doing this.

You will be surprised how good the paint work comes up and how easy it is to use the G220 - I honestly couldnt believe how it chnaged the depth of the paint and not one swirl or problem.

      Hope that helped...

Anytime you use a cutting pad with a DA Polisher, inspect your results and make sure you're not leaving any haze in the paint.

This can be hard to see on light colors just to note but if a cutting pad is hazing the paint you're working on, it's pretty easy to see on black and dark colors.

This doesn't mean it doesn't happen to light colors, it means if it is happening, you might not be able to easily see it.

If a cutting pad is hazing your car's clear coat, then do a test spot and make sure you're able to remove it with your secondary buffing process.

        Better safe than sorry...
