Thanks Murr, it wasn't about know how as I enjoy greatly helping others, but this thread suprisingly became lost in translation, so I'll respectfully leave it be.

The point is if a person has one of our spray waxes in their garage there's nothing wrong with them using it over a 2.0 product. It may not be the perfect product to use but what if at the time it's the product they have at hand, or they have some and want to use it up a bottle of product they previously purchased? Technically there's not going to be any compatibility problems with using our spray waxes over any previously applied Meguiar's wax no matter which wax it might be.

    Now does that make sense?
It perfectly does, Mike, just wanted to get your thoughts on proper product application of the newer tech and their compatibility with older ones. As usual thank you for taking the time to answer this, I appreciate it!

As a beginner, I am trying to keep my mouth shut, but, it makes sense and sure does help. I appreciate the other information, but I need to know that I am not making a major mistake as I try out different products.

Thanks, Mike (and to the members you were replying to.)

Thanks Murr... I hoped it was clear, but I'll further add to clarify, that aside from megs reps I spoke to not recommending NXT Spray Wax over NXT 2.0 but rightly so UQD, my logic is that applying a non-hydrophobic product over a hydrophobic one can do nothing but diminish and upset its properties. This, to me is like coating your window with Rain-X then going over it with Windex, or even mixing two somewhat similar products on a single g100 pad. One, of course, can conceivably layer any waxes or sealants over NXT 2.0, but its the hydrophobic polymers they lack that makes all the difference I feel in the end result one wants to achieve, and applying any "regular" wax/sealant/non-UQD detail spray over NXT 2.0/#21 2.0 makes, IMHO, no logical sense in the hydrophobic result and effect I want to produce and maintain. What do you think Mike, does this make sense? Thanks!

I think Jimmy means that putting an older product on top of the 2.0 products, you might cover up the 2.0 properties, like the water run off, that are so nice.

Any chance of an NXT 2.0 Booster Wax?

Technically this is wrong, all our spray waxes can be applied over any of our waxes or sealants, haven't seen anything from R&D or from the Training Department to back up these statements.

Kind of a loose generalization here.

I used to use NXT Spray Booster Wax often, early in the morning for quick touch up.
It was easy, fast job, and seemd to be working great.

After I started to use UQD, I don't have a chance to use Spray Wax, its on back of my garage shelf and kinda forgot about

This is not saying they won't work fine removing dirt and the like, but you'll inevitably be removing some hydrophobic protection to some degree, something I wouldn't want to do.

But NXT Spray Wax is not a bad product, but personally because is a product for fast use, UQD is much faster and delivers awesome results

Meguiar's spray waxes are basically for touching up or refreshing that just waxed look.

Some people love them some people don't care for them, as long as you apply and remove them using the right technique they work really well.

One of the problems we have now is our Ultimate Quik Detailer gives you the same results and better water resistance without having to let the product dry.

There are a couple of threads on how to use them in the How To Articles section in the Information Station.
