I've been using a product called "Wheel Wax", which looks like vanilla pudding in a jar. I think it is similar to #26 in terms of composition (e.g., a mixture of carnauba and polymer waxes). It works fairly well, but I'd be interested to hear some feedback from people who have used NXT on their wheels, particularly on the issues of protection and longevity. Has anyone tried it?

NXT on Wheels?

Tried it on 04 Acura TL. The owner had complained about the brake dust. Knowing this hot button I waxed the wheels after a thorough cleaning. The owner was very pleased. I don't have much info on protection and longevity.
I use NXT on my chrome rims but the rims were easy to clean without waxing. I've heard most waxes (sealants) won't stand up to the heat. Cept Wheel wax.

this is my mach1's rim with NXT on it.
closeup:
i did it mainly because of the painted section and i love how NXT really lets the metallics shine. i haven't been checking for durability or ease of cleaning (i wash weekly and don't have much brake dust buildup).Reid

I did the same as hirosh using NXT on the rims, it did seem to keep the rims cleaner longer. Long longevity is questionable I give mine a bath every week whether it needs it or not most of the time it needs it. I reapply NXT every 4-5 weeks.Rich

I use this and then top with NXT. They stay pretty clean and dust free. Still need to clean them every week.Keeping MOL family friendly! If you need help or have a question, don't hesitate to shoot me an email or PM. 101impala@gmail.com

Tgara must be an english professor LOL!
NXT looks good on wheels. The way it shines on silver metallics makes it good on painted wheels.
Are the Lexus and Mustang wheels part polished and part painted? That's what they look like in the photos. They both look great BTW. I see so many stangs with aftermarket wheels I don't think I would recognize the factory stock wheels.

Tim, why do you start your messages with "Hey"? Not the best choice of words IMHO especially for a moderator. Hey is for horses!
However to appease, I will be a little more cognitive in my choice of wording.

Hey!
Take it easy on the Moderators. The reason Tim is a Moderator on Meguiar's Online is because he's a class act. In fact, one of the classiest, and nicest fellows you will find posting on a discussion forum. His skin is thick, it takes a lot to get under it.
Unlike a lot of people I've followed on a plethora of discussion forums, Tim is always posting positive posts that help people. He gives of his time freely, sharing his experience and knowledge.
He spent more time on AOPP and SCG than I did.
There's nothing wrong with starting a thread with the word "Hey'. The best writing style for forum posts is casual, that is writing like you talk.
I back Meguiar's Moderators 100%
Tim is a class act all the way, I can't and won't tell you how many times he has brought a negative post about me on other forums asking if he can post on my behalf to counter the bashing taking place and I have stopped him. I always appreciate the long hours Tim spends on this forum helping people out, (correcting my mistakes), and keeping the forum running smoothly, and most importantly, friendly.
Thank you Tim from everyone one on the forum and everyone at Meguiar's.
Mike
