  • this is my planned product use for my to cars ( Mike your recommendations please)

    hey guys,

my two vehicles in question are my 2002 aspen white subaru wrx impreza and my wifes 2000 titanium pearl legacy gt wagon. my plan is to start thinks off after washing is to clay the finish, then use body scrub, #9 (swirl remover), then use #7 ( show car glaze) then use the nxt tech wax and i plan on experimenting with #16 as a top coat over the nxt. i will be using a pc with mequires pads. any feedback and recommendations will be greatly apreciated.

That sounds good. Do you already have all those? If so, go for it. If not, I might suggest you swap out #9 and #7 for Speed Glaze if you are interested. But you don't have to. Speed Glaze should be slightly more aggressive, and should get similar results in one step to the two steps you listed. Just a thought.

I agree with Aurora use Speed Glaze and finish up with NXT wax..and if you have some extra time top with #16 but you don't have to..Out of # 7 and # 9, I prefer # 9 a little bit easier to work with.

            ?

hey guys thanks for the feed back. i now have a few questions for you.

            1) how easy is speed glaze to work with when using a pc?
            2) how easy is it to remove?
            3) does it dry with a chalky residue?
            4) how easy is it to remove?

            answers would be greatly appreciated

Speed Glaze does not dry to a chalky residue assuming you do not over use the product.
              2. Apply it on an 8006 pad and set your setting at 4.0 work the product until nearly dry and remove with microfiber..you can do one section at a time or the entire vehicle paint surface. Product easily remove's with micro..fiber cloth..

                  Hi onawrxhigh,

I have been on the road, in meetings, and away from the computer for a while, you'll have to excuse me and accept my apologies for not responding sooner. I was up at 4:30am and it is now 7:00pm. So while I love to work all the time, (I really do, I'm a natural workaholic), sometimes I have to push away from the keyboard and play catch-up later.

any specific problems you're looking to fix??

Sounds like a great start with what you have mentioned. I'm not a big #9 fan as it seems to fill more than fix. I was a #7 user until I heard of #81. I likes much better. If you don't have a specific problem I would skip #9. I hadn't used speed glaze yet, but have seen and read some good things. If you skipped the #9 or speed glaze and need your PC fix then I'd try Medallion paint cleaner with the PC. Seems to liven up paint IMO..

Good luck and keep us posted.

                      speed glaze it is

                      hey aurora40 and george wax,

thanks guys for your recommendation of speed glaze this seems to have done the trick for the most part. i say this because i possibly could have worked the product alittle longer than i did, but the results are still stunning. this was my first detail using the pc. this machine is the be all end all to my time issues with detailing my cars ( very limited time to detail). there are still some swirl marks but they are so faint that you really have to look hard for them.(this is why i say i could have worked it a little longer)this is what i did to my wife's 2000 subaru legacy gt wagon.

                      1) washed with gold glass wash
                      2) clayed all horizontal surfaces
                      3) used speed glaze with pc set to 4 and a polishing pad
                      4) 2 coats of nxt wax( best wax i have seen)
                      5) hot shine for tires

about a week ago i ordered Meguiar's Centennial Collection with the pc. i was a Meguiar's user for nearly 12 years and my guest for time savings made me stray from a know product and join the zaino crew, but i am now back using the products that i know and some that i don't but i feel that with using the pc,some of the mirror glaze products and nxt all my vehicles will truly shine and look better in less time than with zaino.

i have some pics of my wifes car for all to see and comment on. the pics don't totaly do the finish or nxt justice because i was pressed for time and the sun was mostly behind the clouds.

                      here they are
