    Medallion = Barry Bonds @ 1992
    NXT = Barry Bonds @ 2002

    Both were MVPs, but in different ways.

      LOL, I guess that wasn't very informative, was it?

      My impression on appearance is that NXT gives a drier, glossier look, and Medallion gives a wetter, smoother look. They're both great. My opinion is that NXT is more captivating, but it might be flavor of the month for me right now.

      I would think that Meguiar's is going to have to reconsider Medallion's place in their scheme of things, at $5 per bottle more than NXT.

      For me as a hobbyist, durability is a non-factor. I'm going to detail my cars whenever I feel like it. For you as a professional, though, durability is a factor. NXT hasn't been out long enough to make real-world statements about its durability.

      I hope this helps,

        I think you will find NXT easier to use. It goes on and wipes off easier than MPPP.

        I had MPPP on the Mustang just before NXT Tech Wax so I was able to compare the look. On my paint MPPP leaves a very good reflection and shine which NXT does as well but adds a deep glossy look.

        Durability has not been confirmed yet but, Meguiars is saying that NXT Tech Wax is now their longest lasting product.

        Give it a try, nothing to lose but $14.99

          thanks for the info. i found nxt at my local advanced this morning and gave it a try on my bmw , silver, and did notice a difference in the finish looking more smooth and deeperin reflection than mppp. i also talked to my meguirs rep about machine use and found out it will work about the same as mppp.

            MPPP vs. NXT

            I am a long time MPPP user. It is a great product and lasts a long time. It has lasted me through some harsh Indiana winters. NXT gives a deeper gloss and is easier to apply and remove by hand. I have not tried NXT by machine yet but I expect it to be easier to use than MPPP. NXT also dries more quickly than MPPP and is probably useable at lower temperatures.
            MPP takes a long time to dry when temps. get below 50°

            Like the others said, too soon to say much about durability. I washed my TA after two weeks of snow and being covered with road salt, molasses, and calcium chloride. The suface was still very slick after I washed with the NXT car wash.
