  • Quik Clay/Smooth surface

    Hello all,

Here's a quicky for you guys/gals. I have some overspray on my car and the Quik Clay isn't removing it easily enough so, is the Auto Body Clay (Mild) have better "grabbing" power than the quik clay? Or, is it the same?

If it is better than quik clay, I'll pick up a can of the Mild stuff first sticking with, "Use the least agressive product to get the job done."

    TIA!

I fixed a very bad case of primer overspray on my car with the Quik Clay and the result is excellent.

I don't have access to more aggressive clays, just the kits from Meguiars and Mothers, so it HAD to work.

The Mild Clay and Smooth Surface/Quick Clays are pretty similar.

Do you detail by hand, or PC?

If you detail by PC, you could also try the Agressive clay, since it may leave some marring, but the PC would buff it out.

I usually detail by hand, but the PC is on the way (SOON!). I'll be picking up M80 and M82, with W8006s for application, for now.

I'll try it out Murr1525 and mention how things work out. Thanks for the reply Skuz.
