    Hi bchivers,

Some would argue that an application of a pure polish in-between applications of a wax will help. The only way to ever know for sure is to do a side by side test on your own car with your paint type

Meguiar's always recommends applying your polish first and then applying your paint protectant, (wax by any other name).

I think if you do a good job of first preparing the paint to accept the wax, i.e. wash, clay, clean and polish, then two applications of your choice of wax will result in 99.9% of your car's paints maximum potential

I nearly always polish before a wax. I have found I get a much deeper shine!

As for the WW towels, they are the only way to dry a vehicle! I feel that they don't "drag" over the surface and scratch it as a chamois or absorber might do. I am sold on them!

        Hey,

        Just to add,

I would not use a polish in between coats of NXT. However, I always use a pure polish before the NXT. To me, the final stage of applying a Last Step Product is where one has to be the most careful; you do not want to accidently add marring back into surface. Just in MHO!

But since polish contains some abrasives, isn't that going to eventually erode your clearcoat? I'd love to use some Deep Crystal polish before my NXT, but I've been afraid of eventually wearing the clearcoat down.

              Hey,

Any of Meguiar's pure polishes like #3, #5, #7, #81 do not have any cleaning ability. Therefore, they are not affecting the BC/CC except to add more depth and richness to the paint.

no streaks, no water marks there will be a few just from normal washing and drying... so I always use a detailer spray after every wash and dry to eliminate the trouble spots. Easy to wring out, I only have one but I NEED another, holds tons of water. I still have an absorber for the windows and other non-painted surfaces!
