how to remove remaining Compound & Polish?

it's filled in all the little small rock chips & nicks
on the painted surface of the car....everywhere.

does water to soften it and then a small soft brush
do the trick?

Be careful with brushes lest you induce new marring.

I use a very plush MF and lots of #34. Let the #34 dwell for a while so it has a chance to soften the residue.
