  • NXT Spray Wax - Can It Be Layered

My paint is in excellent condition, it has been protected since day one with the Cleaner Wax, and then later NXT.

The NXT was still beading water, but I decided to try the NXT Spray Wax.

I applied the Spray Wax with a soft cotton applicator, relatively thinly, using very little pressure. Once I was finished applying, I removed it in the same sequence. Removing it was quite easy after I used a soft cotton towel to take off the wax, and then a second cotton towel to remove any remaining and to buff the finish.

The result was a streak-free finish with alot of "pop". It did look like it was just waxed again.

I did notice that my applicator became a bit dirty. Was this mineral deposits from the cash wash and a less than thorough drying (I don't like to use alot of pressure when drying) or a cleaning effect of the NXT?

Can I use NXT each time after I wash to enhance the shine, or would the Detailer product be easier and/or better?

    Thanks!

Will the NXT spray wax layer over any previous coats?

I would bet it was dirt that you may have missed after washing. If your car has some funky contours, your sponge might have missed over it.

It wont be from bad drying, since the dirt shouldnt be there when you are drying.

You can use Nxt Spray Wax after several washes. When the spray wax becomes hard to remove, the base coat of Nxt is probably wearing thin.

The Detailer will be quicker in nature, since there is nothing to go back and remove. But it isnt going to add any protection back either. The Spray Wax at least adds a little back.

USe the NXT Speed Detailer and you won't need to use the Spray Booster Wax as often. Some QDs don't add protection but the NXT Speed Detailer (and also the Last Touch) do add protection.

Lately, I've been doing a lot on my Mustang every morning before work. After dusting off the surface, I use Speed Detailer to clean off any remaining dust particles and contaminants. Afterwards, I follow it up with a layer of Spray Wax - even on the windows.

Yes, it's a bit overkill to do this on an everyday basis, but I guess I need the exercise, anyway...
