What do ya'll use as a finishing step after NXT?...I've heard (here) less than favorable impressions about the liquid wax...do ya'll use the FD? or what?
    I hate to even ask...
    BUT
if the answer is FD (I don't have any and couldn't get any by my job this weekend...just now switching to an entirely Meguires line)...have you had success on NXT with any of the competition's detailing sprays (Zaino/Wolfgang are the two I have in stock)?

    Hi 6318,

After two thin coats of Tech Wax, you don't need to apply anything else. Meguiar’s usually doesn't recommend getting the finish wet with water for 24 hours, I'll imagine this would include a quick detailer since they contain water.

The NXT Spray Wax was never intended to be used immediately after applying Tech Wax, it was intended to be used in-between regular applications of wax. If you apply Tech Wax once a month, then the 4 weeks in-between these monthly applications, you could use the Spray Wax to boost, or revitalize the appearance of your car.

All of the cars I have detailed with Tech Wax as my last step product have ended with just the Tech Wax, no other application of anything.

Last Sunday, while at the Plastic Fantastic Corvette show, I rotary buffed with a compound the hood of a black Corvette to remove deep scratches. After a few more polishing steps, I applied two thin coats of Tech Wax and then the owner pulled the Corvette out of the shade of the canopy and onto the lawn in direct sunlight.

    Here are the results,

I wouldn't recommend topping NXT Tech Wax, and if decide to top it, then I would wait till the next day to allow the polymers to fully set-up.
