I have an 2003 Mach 1 and it is black (is there any other color?) I have waxed it a few times and as far as heavy swirls, I don't think I have any. But when it is in bright sun light I can see what almost looks like very fine spider web "swirls" in the finish. I once used a product called "The Treatment" and it worked fine to remove this but I can no longer get this product. Will the NXT get rid of this? Should I apply the wax in straight lines or in circular motion? Does it help to dampen the applicator? Any help would be appreciated.

Swirls, what swirls

goodness...kind'a'can'o'worms question!
NXT will help a *little* bit...doesn't do much for swirls/scratches at all...something better for that, if you want to stay in the consumer line would be ScratchX...
I apply the wax with my PC in straight, overlapping lines...
I prime the applicator with a wax 'X' before using...then around the rim for maintenance...

It’s hard to say without being there what NXT Tech Wax will or will not do. If they are very light, it would be worth a try in my opinion to apply two thin coats and then re-inspect.
Do you have a PC? You could try using a product like #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 with the PC first. If that's not working, you could always substitute a more aggressive product
If you're doing all of your polishing by hand then you could try using ScratchX with a soft foam wax applicator.
Should I apply the wax in straight lines or in circular motion?
Does it help to dampen the applicator?
It is OK to first dampen you applicator with a quick detailer when applying a paint cleaner, cleaner/polish or pure polish but from my experience, this is usually not necessary either, as Meguiar’s paint cleaners, cleaner/polishes and pure polishes offer excellent lubricity right out of the bottle.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would love to attend a seminar. I don't own a PC and from what I'm getting this is some sort of Orbital made by Porter Cable. I do have an orbital, but it was bought from Sears and I used it when I was washing and waxing cars for a local company. It just made it a lot quicker and they were not worried about how the shine was. Where do I get one of these PC's. I think I would be concerned about burning the paint on the edges. I've tried buffing and to be honest I was so afraid of burning an edge I didn't get very good results.Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.

A PC is perfectly safe. It would take alot of missuse to do any damage. Its a rather fool proof product that works. It doesnt spin in a constant circle and it doesnt spin fast enough to burn or harm the paint but does provide awesome results.
you can find meguiars version of the PC on this page and it comes with a lifetime guarentee and I beleive backing plate and pollishing pad. Its the first one on the page: http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguia...&subcatagory=1

You guys are a ton of help. Now if I could just talk one of you into coming over and doing the car for me I would be set. Just kidding I like to do it. Can I buy one of those PC's at say parts store or a home improvement place. Its just a variable speed orbital right? I just stumbled on this sight, man I'm glad I did. I am going to run to the parts store during my lunch break and see if they have everything I need.Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
