That is what I see with GC compared to NXT 2 as well, but they are both fabulous, and I guess theoretically more protection in the NXT 2.

However, we wax our cars so often, that I don't see any harm in using GC sometimes, for that different look. If car in avatar, it looks great. I think the 08 malibus are gorgeous!!!

Re: NXT Tech wax vs Gold Class wax

I made this question on another thread but I didn't get the answer that I was really looking for...

I waxed my car yesterday with GC ( 1 coat), can I use #16 today as a second coat ???

I know that with NXT I could use the NXT first and GC as a second..
But since I heard a lot about the #16 I decided to get a tin, since It's very expensive I want to know when to apply and get the best of it, and the most important thing leave my car as shinny and protected as possible

Did you try GC recently? I did a test a few months ago on my hood, half GC and half NXT. I found that GC lasted as long as NXT, about two months, before i chose to wax the car again (not because the car needed it ). GC even sheeted water better than NXT when washing the car.

@BCobaltSS: You can. First synthetic wax and then carnauba-based wax on top of it. So you can put NXT on first and Gold Class second.

I've been told this creates a really deep reflection (nxt) and adds a lot of gloss (gold class).

I have used GC for a while with the step 1 and 2 and then the GC for the final step. I have just recently over the summer changed to using the NXT for the final step . I have noticed that it tends to work better with the scratches but the gloss seems to be better with the GC and lasts longer. I think for the money that the GC is better . The question I have is that can you combine them like putting the NXT on and then the GC?

Bought a 07 Saturn Aura about a month ago, plan on waiting till it's three months old for its first waxing. What would be correct one to use. Gold Class or NXT Tech. I have used Gold Class on our other car and think it's the best I've ever used. Another question the top of dash looks rubberized book says just to clean with a damp cloth. But living in AZ. think it's going to bake it and its black so I want to protect it.

Oh yea,if I dont like something out it goes.I had to rub twice as long and twice as hard with the liquid.

I sent an email to Mike P. about it ,I thought maybe I got a batch that might have been frozen or something.

If it doesnt look good on the outside of the car,its not going to look good in the door jambs or anywhere else.

One other thing...I am not sure where the tread is so I am going to ask it here. What should be the order when I detail my car (which is a black 2005 Pontiac Grand Am GT)? I have washed it with Gold Class and nw I need to know the order as far as scratchX (actually i am using Kit Scratch Out because we already have that in the garage), claybar, polish, and wax...i believe that right there is the order i should take but I am not sure. Help me out on this one!
    Wash
    Clay
    ScratchX
    Polish
Wax (x2 thin layers, if you can/have the time)

I will now try the paste in the NXT wax and see if their is a difference.

I threw the liquid Gold Class away, and also the liquid NXT.
