Ok... Which one should be underneath?
I want to use scratch x, deep chrystal paint cleaner and gold class liquid.
But in which order?

You only need to use one paint cleaner, you might apply it more than one time, but you only need one.

For light cleaning use Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, for removing swirls and scratches, use ScratchX

Then apply your wax.

i believe that a paint cleaner removes surface contaminates and in scratchXs case it removes scratches

Paint cleaners clean the paint, but this we mean they remove oxidation, stains and other gunk that builds up on the surface of the paint.

Paint cleaners can also remove below surface defects like swirls and scratches if they contain some kind of abrading ingredients.

Think of Meguiar's paint cleaners as hi-tech replacements for old fashioned rubbing and polishing compounds.

Mike,

I was wondering this for a while... In the 5-step paint care link, why is the paint cleaner listed before the clay bar? Seems like it could be a bit confusing, as far as which to use first for a new user.
