  • M-02 Reformulated for PC?????

I saw on a online supplier that the M-02 was reformulated to be used with the PC.

    Is this true?

Yes and it works superb might I say. Mike has a few pictures of an NSX that we polished with the New #2 and it came out well. It's a much easier to use product than #83 too.

SpoiledMan - M-02 is labled as "fine cut cleaner." Part of the description reads:

Its special formula of Buffered Abrasives™ turns into a gentle buffing rouge, giving you a professional finish that's ready for polishing, protecting-and if necessary, painting.

You mention in your post that the NSX was POLISHED with this product???

Yes it was. It broke down very well and we went from there to LSP. It can even be used by hand now.

Is there anyway to tell the old formulation from the new one? Any difference in the packaging?

            Yes.

On the back label where it says,

METHOD OF APPLICATION: For use by hand, orbital, D.A. polisher or rotary buffer.

An older formula will say for use with rotary buffer only.

Great product. Funny enough I have two NSX's on my calendar for next week. Going to use #2 as a first step. I'll post some before and after pictures. Since I started using it, I don't find myself reaching for #83 that often anymore.
Trick is little product, little preasure (maybe 2 pounds) and work slow.

                Guys,

When do you use the new #2 and when do you use #83? Which is better for scratch and swirl removal with a pc?

Now that it has been reformulated, how does it affect its performance with a rotary?

This is just geting a wee bit too confusing for an old guy like me. I remember the days of Dupont #7 by hand for scrtach removal.

                  I'm interested too.

#2 was my old stand-by back in the late 1980's, and it was what converted me to Meguiars.

Using a PC, which would offer more cutting action, #2 or #83?

The aggressiveness scale of #83(6) is higher than #2 (5), I would think that #2 would perform better as it is specifically a cutter, but I'm not too sure

                    Anyone?

M83 is more aggressive than M02 Fine Cut Cleaner.

I'm taking a guess that it's (#2) close to MPPC in terms of cleaning power.
