  • New Meguiar's DA pads in 3"???

From what I'm hearing (my order should be here tomorrow according to tracking) the new DA pads have addressed issues I've had with other brands of pads. Also getting great feedback from trusted sources on them. If I'm as impressed as I think I will be, I could see me going 100% Meguiar's for all my pad needs.

Theres only one problem... No 3"!!! I do a lot of 3" pad work edging and getting tighter or more curved areas. I haven't been truly happy with any other manufacturer's 3" pads. Was really looking forward to Meguiar's new pad technology in that size too.

Who else wants to see the new tech in the same size as the 3" MF discs??? Whose ear do we need to bend to make this happen??? I know I'm not the only guy who doesn't want to have to cross brand lines for 3" work.

You still have the 3" microfiber pads. Also the DAPS 3.5"-4" pads. As of right now it doesn't look good for any new 3" pads. But perhaps things will change if the market is there.

I don't use MF on rotary which is what I do most of my edging and tight work with. And the others are NOT the new foam. The all new burgundy foam and it's finishing capabilities is one of the main reasons I'm interested in the new pads!

I definitely think the market is there, if for nothing else to at least update the burgundy and black DAPS pads to the new foams. If they cut and finish as much better as everyone has said thus far, it just makes good sense to roll them out in the consumer line to allow "average Joe" DIYers to get better and easier results too; let alone helping those of us pros who use the spot pads a lot for various things...

The only real question -- and one only those involved in Meguiar's retail merchandising would be in-the-know about -- is what kind of inventory turnover rate they see for these pads and whether the update would even hit store shelves quickly enough to make it feasible.
