Great Video. I have wondered about the practicality and application technique for rinseless washes. This nails it, thanks.

      Mike,

Will the 15:1 dilution affect wax? I know in one thread about d114 you mentioned in a strong enough dilution it could strip wax. I have been using it at 1oz to 31oz of water in a sprayer to remove bird bombs, clean wheels, and remove compounding residue for a while now but was just wondering if you guys have a recommended dilution to help aid in wax removal?

It was a lot of fun making this video with Jason and Steve. At the very end our video guy Yancy included two pretty funny bloopers.

I've also shared this on my section on Detailing World for our buddies over the pond...

At a very strong dilution ratio, yes, it can strip wax. But we're talking like 4:1 or thereabouts. We recommend 256:1 dilution ratio for rinseless washing (128:1 for really dirty cars) so you probably don't need the 31:1 ratio you're using for bird bombs and wheel cleaning. 15:1 will remove residual compound and polish residue but those are much easier to remove than waxes and sealants.

Would D115 at 4:1 strip the existing wax....or are we just talking about D114 stripping wax at 4:1

^^ I don't think a product that has wax will strip existing wax.. It just doesn't make sense...

Nice video, it was nice to see them use the different products in so many different application methods and at different ratios. I love how I can have different bottles of RFEW at different dilutions for different purposes, from washing light to dirty cars, dirtier wheels, removing stubborn compound and even claying. Not to mention the original bucket method - VERY versatile and adaptable product. I hope I am able utilize RFEW&W in half as many ways.

Oh, and for some reason, the video would not load on my phone or iPad (other videos from Megs always have), so just wanted to give you the heads up.

Sounds like D115 is another great product from Meguiar's. I only wish they would have gave it a different name. I think the name will confuse consumers who are looking for a rinse-less product like D114. I understand that it can be used in this manner, but as a rinse-less D114 is much more economical. D114 Rocks by the way, I didn't know about the 15:1 dilution ration for residue removal either. Good tip to know.

Great Video! I was wondering about the various uses of the RFEW. This really nailed it for me. So how would this work as a clay lube? I currently use Last Touch at 4:1. Any recommendations? I use LT at full strength for a finial wipe for fingerprints, ect... Is RFEW+W going to work better or more economically due to the dilutions? And what would you recommend?

I just started using the spray wax about a month ago and am loving it. I find myself neglecting the last touch. The waterless car wash is great. Work smart concept. Currently my two favorite products next to my MF system.
