No, they aren't even really similar in dilution either.

          Hi:

The spray bottles from Meguiar's have the product name on them and the correct dilution ratio for that product marked on it. If a product has more that one dilution ratio all will be marked on the bottle.

Fill the bottle with water to the mark and add product, very handy. *

          * Corrected bottle filling procedure. Thanks.

Actually, you fill the bottle with water to the mark, then add the product. You would have way too much product if you went the other way around.

              K Truck,

that would work except that i have the old version of apc+. and they only sell the bottles for the new version. from what i've been told the dilution ratios are totally different. Thanks for the info though.

                Hey,

The dilution ratios are very different.

With the old APC+ it ranged out to 64:1 for very light jobs. Though I tended to use it at a 10:1 ratio most of the time.

The new APC which is an awesome product(!) dilutes to 10:1. I tend to use it at a 7:1 ratio.

Check out this review of the new APC

                Hope this helps!

                  Hi:

Sorry I was not clearer, I was just letting you know that the bottle currently being sold was for the new product and would have different ratios marked on it.

You could temporally use the new bottle with your old APC+ until it is gone by.

Use a piece of tape to put a temporary mark on the bottle at the correct dilution ratio.

                  To determine:

Divide the container size in oz. by the sum of the product ratio.

                  Example:

To fill a 32 oz. bottle at a 64:1 dilution.

                  32 oz. / (64 +1) = .49 oz. or approximately 1/2 oz.

Measure out the correct amount of water (31 1/2 oz.), fill the bottle and mark.

Add the APC+ and you are ready.

Use the above formula to calculate whatever product strength you like.

                  Regards,
