Probably would work... Would have to compate with #00 as far as price.

We're using D114 as a green alternative to washing our taxis. We wash 30-40 taxis per day and are almost never using our automatic anymore because of the water savings with D114. Only the dirtiest of taxis go through the automatic now. So we have plenty of D114 on hand (hoping for 5 gallon containers in the future from meguiars) and our body shop technician suggested it would be a great wet/damp sanding lubricant if it is truly body shop safe.

It is definitely body shop safe, and it should be fine for use as a sanding lube although we've not specifically tested it for this purpose. You'll have to experiment a bit but since it's so slick we're thinking a vary small amount will go a long, long way here.

Thanks Michael body shop guys tried it today with 2 teaspoons of D114 mixed with water in a 32oz spray bottle and they thought it worked excellently. Respray and wetsanded then hit the quarter panel with Solo! and it looked great!

I'm finding many uses for D114 and thought I would share my latest discovery. After compounding and polishing with Solo! or M105/M205 for that matter I'm using D114 Rinse Free Express Wash to clean up any compound and polish sling and dust off the paint and glass prior to M21 application. D114 is very versatile and fantastic stuff!
