I'd think the #7 follows this then waxing, Gold class wax was on sale in both liquid and paste, I got the paste to see if it was any different from the NXT 2.0 (i have some liquid left of it.)

    So it's:
    Clay bar
    #6 Cleaner wax
    #7 Glaze polish
Gold Class paste or NXT 2.0 or NXT + Gold Class on top?
It depends on what you're looking at doing...if you're just going to wax the car. Wash it, clay it with the light clay, then ULTIMATE WAX / NXT 2.0 right on top. Done. I'm not sure if there will be any differences if you put another wax on top of another wax.

ALSO, #7 glaze may not be needed. Depending on what type of car you have. If you're like me, and you own an older car with maybe single stage paint, #7 is awesome as it has a lot of oils in it that help give the paint a little boost. But if you have a newer car that has base coat + clear coat like 06 Tiburon probably has, #7 probably won't' do much. Also depends on the color...if your car is silver, a glaze / polish might not do anything your eye can perceive. But if you have a newer, darker colored car, Ultimate Polish is a great product. Ultimate Polish is a derivative of #205 Ultra Finishing Polish and it has some light abrasives in it for very fine paint correction...#7 has ZERO abrasives.

Meguiars makes lot of products to fit many different types of situations and not all paint is the same and therefore there's a need for many different types of products. What works for my car, might not work for your car. But you'd be amazed at what you can do with Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish...and these are products you can buy at Wallyworld!

BTW...these very fine swirls that Mike is talking about may look like this...

This was a black 2008 Toyota 4 Runner...Ultimate Compound made the paint look great...but I finished it M205...and well...

^^^I'm not sure if Ultimate Polish would be able to get that result....???? It was F#%! AMAZING!

The car in my avitar is my car, a 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe in "Silverstone" the paint is in good shape only being a year old Plus I got the dealer to put on "Paint Pertection."

I did have to clay the car after getting it, which is usually a good idea anyway, it had some tar or undercoating over spray on it. After the claybar I think I grabbed some Scratch X then used the NXT that has lasted through the summer and winter, but I'm not sure if I got a coat or two on it in August or Sept last year. The detailer seemed to be helpful for beading after I used it just to take a light dust off. There is tar on it again from road crack filling so taking it off with a claybar might add a few problems or at least remove all wax.

With a hail storm yesterday with stones that looked like hershey kisses I was hoping it didn't do a number on the sheetmetal. Living in Alberta with cold winters and no heated garage and it's staying outside all the time is tough on the finish. At work I park behind the building so it's in the buildings shade in the afternoon, something that helps save it getting hot inside and solar damage.

I think Hyundai did a better job of painting the Genesis than they did the 06 blue Tiburon I had before. The Tiburon seemed to have thin paint and clearcoat but I really liked the XX paint because the blue was very nice. I've had a number of cars but the Hyundai's have been better built and designed cars than the Fords I had. The Genesis has a nice combination of Sporty and luxury. Silver brings out the cars lines more than some other colours.
