Im a long time reader but new member as you can see since this is my first post. This weekend will be removing some swirls from my car and a meguiars rep on www.7thgencivic.com recommended using #80. Well in my area there are no distributors for the #80. I was wondering if there is a comprable replacement. I appreciate any information. Thanks

3M Perfect 3 Machine Glaze. It will cost you about $30 for a quart. Because of the new VOC laws it has been replaced with Perfect it 3000 swirl remover. Don't use the swirl remover you find at Pepboys as that stuff is more like #9 and rather weak. Other alternatives are Mezerma Itensive Polish, or Hi Temp light Cut. Light cut rubbing compound by 3M and #83 are about equal to each other, but a step up in abrassiveness to #80.Eddie
