  • Products for fresh paint

A friend of mine will be getting his car back from the body shop after a bit of paintwork. I believe that 75% of the car will be repainted. The paint may have 7 days cure time if that and will be going to a car show this weekend. What products if any could I use on the paint to freshen it up for the show?

Since you'll be working on this car away from the body shop, you can use pretty much anything on it as long as you don't wax it just yet. If the body shop left a bunch of swirls or buffer trails in the finish you could use M205 or, if more punch was needed, Ultimate Compound, to remove them. Odds are M205 will do wonders to really enhance the finish, and you could certainly top it all off with M07 just before the show.

I think the least aggressive approach is the rule on this one. Start with a 2' x 2' area that needs help and go from there. M07 = the bling factor.
