    With the new SMAT products available, well-tested and very user friendly, is there any reason to have the old standbys (#83, #82, #80, etc.) taking up shelf space in our garages?

    M83 and M80 are still good for single stage paints.

    Some people may prefer DAT as new compounds are still being created with it (i.e. CarPro Fixer). So there is still a base for it. For most people though, the SMAT work great and for mobile detailers, the SMAT products work much better in the sun.

      Yeah, #80 for SS paint is a big one.

        This is a helpful comment from this thread. I've kept my M80 around just in case I come across this.
