  • micro fiber pads

I would love to try the microfiber pad system but I own a Cyclo and am unable to find them in 4 inch. Is this something that may be coming out soon?

We don't have any plans at the moment for a 4" version of the microfiber discs, but there is a backing plate that works on the Cyclo that will allow you to use our 3" discs (actually 3.37") with that tool. Joe at Superior Shine has done it.....

mike, what is the backing plate and the source for it? Would this bp fit a rotary? If not, where could I get one? I want to try the small mf pads on a rotary for headlight restoration.

Thanks very much. I have the Griot's Garage DA and I'm looking at using MF pad system with my Audi Q5.

Looks like I may need a brush. I'm also new to detailing so I'm a little worried.

How many pads should I get for a smaller SUV like the Q5. It's only 2 months old but has some light swirls courtesy of the dealer.

For cleaning the MF pads on the fly, you need to have either compressed air or the pad brush at least. It's key to always have a clean pad when working with the MF system in order to achieve optimum results. It is also important to use the proper backing plate with these pads. Please make sure to look at the 5" microfiber correction kit so that the BP will be included.

If your car is only 2 months old and as you've mentioned only has light swirls, then maybe D300 is too much for this. You should try to use M205 with a W8207 polishing pad and see how that works out.

hhhmmmm. I thought audi paint is really tough. Maybe I will try out the M205 first.

Best to do a test spot and see how your paint reacts.
