  • DA Microfiber Pad Velcro deform

    Hi Guyz,

Anyone have such issue like the velcro have shrink to smaller size after multiple use around 6 salon car size...Is it due to washing, cleaning or quality(bad batch) ?

    I'm using DAS-6 with 3.5 and 4.5 speed range ..

Try to check the left middle and the right middle

I have one pad that is slowly becoming oval rather than round.

Seem we both have the same issue...really dunno is the quality issue or ????

Really doubt that this pad can endure mass car production line or human error..

This is pretty unusual. How are you washing and drying these? How much product are you using with the pads?

            Hi,

I'm using normal dish washing detergent with hot water and let it soak for around 1 hour with some scrub...then i just rinse out using warm water ...
I use this method for all my microfiber towel also ...

Fully primed the pad ~1 to 3 pea per section for D300 & D301...Using Detailing brush to clean the pad per section ...
Pressure level until the DAS-6 bog down abit but still make sure the pad are rotating...

My apologies for the lateness of this response, Kenneth. It sounds like you may be getting overly aggressive with your washing method here and that a combination of the hot water soaking and dishwashing detergent is compromising either the foam itself, the velcro backing (which is pulling against the foam in a non-uniform way) or perhaps the adhesive holding these two pieces together. We recommend simply tossing these pads in the washer and dryer, using a liquid laundry detergent, warm water wash, cold rinse, and low heat in the dryer.

Mike I have the same issue, I called the megs tech line before washing and they told me the same instructions on washing. I only let the pads dry in the dryer for 10 mins on low and let them air dry overnight. And before throwing them in the washer I let them soak in 3 gallons of water and some dawn.
