80 residue question

80 is my new fav product! Makes amazing results. I have after using it several times figured out how to use it with the G-100 to make removal of it a sinch! Every now and again though , usually at night under a shop light or parking lot light I will find a few spots that there is a little residue. So little that during the day I dont see it at all but under those lights it kinda just looks like a dull type spot . To remove it I put a little 80 on a foam applicator and wipe it on the spot very gently and then wipe off. I dont work it in or anything as I am just using its cleaning ability to remove the old polish that has dried. My question is if there were a few spots like this that I did not find for a few days is there any chance that a little 80 residue left here or there could damage the finish at all or once I find it and remove it will it still have that 80 shine in that spot? Just a curiousity question as I am still pretty new to 80
