  • gallon containers

    Hi.

I am interested in the gallon containers for cost savings.

My question is how does one work with these easily? Are there other things I need to order to be able to work with gallon and 64oz size cleaner/polishes?

All of the videos show people working with the smaller containers.

Also, what is the weight of a gallon of final inspection? weight... #80, #82, #83 ???

what is the weight of a gallon of product in the detailer line?

and finally, should I be using the cleaning and dressing products in the detailer line, or should I stick with the smaller versions in the consumer line. ie, I am willing to pay more for better quality than bulk generic stuff?

Any tips, suggestions, would be greatly apprectiated. Thanks.

Yes, smaller containers will be required. Meguiar's also sells spray bottles and containers for use with the D-line products. Here: http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguia...&subcatagory=1

Also, you will need a pour spout for the gallon jugs. Here:

Pouring the product from a gallon jug without spilling is impossible, so a spout is a must have. You will waste too much product without it.

Sorry do not have the weight, for reference a gallon of water is 8 pounds.

and finally, should I be using the cleaning and dressing products in the detailer line, or should I stick with the smaller versions in the consumer line. ie, I am willing to pay more for better quality than bulk generic stuff?
This is really a personal preference. I started with a lot of the consumer products and have purchased more of the D-line and professional products lately. All of Meguiar's products do an excellant job, so it really depends on what product you need and how much you will be using it. If you are just getting started the consumer products are a good place to start. Once you have some experience with these products you will be better able to determine what your needs are. Unfortunately, the only real way to know is to give some of the products a try.
