  • #6 cleaner wax

Can I use this to remove old wax ect... and as a prep for M21v2 ?

I read the bottle on the #6 and it does not say anything about "wax" except in the title . Which as we know is a generic term so I assume there is no wax (as in carnuba in it) maybe synthetic wax or something so if someone knows please let me know.

I will be multi-layering the M21 over it . ( it is black 2011 ) already has been clayed and polished before , but I've been trying all kinds of different (boutique) stuff on it to try to get the look and durability I want with no luck. I do have a coat of UQW and UQD on it now.

I would be applying with a megs polishing or finishing pad and PC. Maybe since I want better cleaning and polishing the polishing pad may be a better choice ...lol. any suggestion on speed ? Its a 6" yellow pad .

I also have the #20 which is supposed to be a cleaner also along with #7 and #9 but don't really like to use 7 or 9 unless I have to .

    Your thoughts/suggestions please

Yes, #6 is a cleaner/wax, so contains a carnuba blend wax. You would apply and let dry, then remove.

    #20 is a mild cleaner/wax.

    #7 is a pure polish. #9 is a cleaner/polish.

Thats what confused me was that it does not say it has a blend of any waxes . Just uses the term "wax" loosely on the front label.

Do you think it will matter if it has carnuba blend and Im trying to put a sealant over it ? Bonding issues ?

        You'll be ok.

If you dont want the wax, use the #9.

I stock and use both, depending on the situation. If it's a one-step, or I'm working purely by hand, #6 is the choice. If I'm looking to prep for another LSP and have a machine available, I'll use #9, as IMO it removes minor defects, cleans and preps the surface, making the wax job go smoother and faster with better results.
