  • D300 vs Fresh Paint Chip repair

    is it safe to use D300 and the MF systems around freshly repaired chips or should i wait 2-4 weeks/ use body shop safe compounds???

    D300 is not formulated for fresh paint.

    M105 or M86 (rotary only) would be good products to go. No wax on fresh paint for at least 30-60 days.

      so chip repairs are classified into fresh paint??? anyone else can shed some light?

        Well if they paint the chip, yes, it's fresh paint... (?)

            Just tape off that area and you should be good.

            It's a fresh paint but it doesn't mean you can't touch it - M07 Show Car Glaze can be used.
