  • M-09 or 80 by hand

Which one of these products would be best to apply by hand? M-09 or 80. I will apply with foam pad. I am going this weekend to look for a DA for until I get one will have to go old fashioned way!

    Thanks

    Kevin

#80 by hand is the way to go. It has more cleaning ability than #9. #9 can be used by hand, but best results are obtained using it with a rotary buffer.

      Hey,

I agree with RamAirV1, Meguiar's #80 Speed Glaze would be the better choice.

Both work great by hand, but I wold give the edge to M80 for a little more cleaning strength. Both leave an absolutely beautiful finish however, perfect for waxing over.

I realize this thread is a little old, but I just recently used #80 by hand, (having used #9 this fall by hand) and I thought I would add my $.02 worth. I thought #9 gave pretty decent results, but #80 gave me the look I was after. Topped it with #16 and just stood back and smiled. Wet looking paint that shines, just what I like

Thanks for the reply! After trying the 80 by hand I would have to agree with you. You should see it after using it with the G-100!

I am strongly considering one now that we just bought a black vehicle. #80 by hand is good, but I can tell that machine applied will be the way to go. In fact when my wife was lobbying hard for the black color, I said ok, but I will have to by a polisher if we do. I wonder when they will be on sale again?

#80 by hand works well, but is quite a job over an entire full sized vehicle.

#80 with a PC looks extremely nice!

#80 with a rotary is AWESOME!

#80 and #81 are my favorite Meguiar's polishes!

I use speed 5 on the flat areas, but slow down to 3 or 4 on the tricky parts.
