lately DACP has been very hard to remove. Seems like its drying extreamly fast.

I have also had some trouble removing #83 lately. Also I have had trouble removing #80. I have been using a PC 7424. I have tried the Quik Detailer trick and it didn't work too well for me. It is probably something I'm doing wrong. But help would be greatly appreciated.Nothing but the best, That's why I use Meguiar's.

I find polishes hard to remove as well but I apply to a very small area then remove while wet, I never let them dry.Brandon

It most likely is. I have been using it in 40 degree weather (Wonderful Michigan) but I had the problem during warmer temps too, but more so in the cold temps.Nothing but the best, That's why I use Meguiar's.

I also had a hard time removing #80 over the weekend, applied with G100a. Temps were around 45. Maybe Mike or Tim could chime in.
Thanks

Re: DACP hard to remove
Hey guys,
I can't believe I haven't been on here since November. Thought I would chime in on this.
I have found that DACP has to be worked just to the point of turning to powder. Then it comes off pretty easily. That is with a 7424. As with everything, external conditions affect this. I would think high humidity would make it more difficult to come off. It would slow the drying process and keep it "gummy" for longer. Also working very small areas - 2X2 or 3X3 areas helps. I put the 7424 on about 5 or 5.5, apply a pretty good amount of pressure and move it VERY slowly. If you think you are going slow enough, slow down a little more. The chemicals have to break down on this stuff before it will come off. I'd like to take credit for this knowledge, but Mike taught me everything I know.
As far as the other Meguiars polishes, I use the Hand Polish a lot and it should rub in good and come right off. It is a little difficult to get started coming off, but will eventually wipe clean. It has a little "grab" to the cloth at first then comes on off. That's just the oils working for you. Top with a thin coat of NXT and watch the heads turn!!
Good to be back on here. Look forward to reading posts again!!

I am experiencing the difficulty of removing gummed up DACP on the surface. As I move my rotary in slow arm speed, there will always be more DACP introduced to the surface. And when these polish dries up on the surface, it might destroy the clearcoat and cause bumps. These bumps are in the shape/pattern of those gummed up polish on the surface. May I know why does this happen?
