Hmm, #62 is slicker than #00? I haven't tried #62 yet, but still love #00 for the Aurora. It's mild and lubricating, and does a great job on a car that's never very dirty.

By "slicker" what exactly are you referring to? I put my hand in the wash water and slide my fingers against each other. That gives me an idea of how lubricating the car wash is. Is this the kind of thing you feel #62 is superior at, or slickness on the car?

I'd like to try #62 but I'm not sure I want to take on a whole gallon of something I may not like...

      Hey Aurora,

It does get confusing does it not?

I have a little different viewpoint. I have found #62 to foam more than #00. Hence the reason I prefer to use #00 as a lubricant for wet sanding. It provides the lubricity without the a lot of foam which would interfere in the wet sanding process (ie. the foam would make it difficult to see exactly what I am sanding).

But like I said before, I still prefer #62 as my carwash shampoo!

In my opinion #62 noticably slicker than #00. When I refer to slickness I am referring to the ability of the wash mitt which has been dunked in car wash and water solution to slide across a vehicle surface. I have used almost a whole bottle of #00 and base my opinions of #00 on this usage.

#62 is an excellent wash and I do not think you will be disappointed with #62. Furthermore, #62 is cheaper per gallon and per wash when compared to #00. Something to consider.

One last note, #62 does created more suds than #00. The last two time I used #00 it seem to almost flat as in no suds. When I originally tested both washed I believe a user error of some sort, created the difference in suds. My method for intial testing was I measured the required .oz for each wash per the instructions on the label using a seperate measuring bottle, used a seperate bucket for each wash, fill approximatley half the bucket with water in the utility sink, then fill rest of the bucket using a strong stream of water at the car wash.

What is the census on the new NXT generation Car wash compared to both the #62 and GC. I have never tried the #62, but after reading this post I am very interested. What are your thoughts?

SO should you use hot or cold water to fill bucket with?

If you can fill from a sink, I like luke warm, just for comfort sake. If you only have a hose, use the hose water temp.

I have tried both Gold Class Car Wash and Meguiars #62 and IMO both are really good products. Both are slick and smell damn good, I recently finished my Meguiar's #62 and went out to buy another 64z of GC.

Overall both are good products and I like the fact I can get the GC anywhere over the counter.
