Re: Ordered the new MF system

I, too, am waiting for mine to come it. I ordered the 5" kit from the Pro Clinic I attended in Denver. Crazy good price so I couldn't pass it up.

Very cool Nick, I just got my MF pads today along with another cool toy. Can't wait to try them out.

6" discs are less aggressive so on more delicate paints will finish better (less haze or no haze) than 5" discs. Also MF discs go nicely with other SMAT products.

But for maximum correction power 5" discs with W67DA backing plate are the best with DA machines.

It's up to you, Nick. I have both sets: 5" and 6" (with S6BP).
That's my story and I'm sticking to it - as the saying goes!!

Nick, while either size will work on the DA (well, the 3" discs will to, with the right backing plate) you will get more cut with the 5" discs. But on super delicate paint you may find the 6" a better fit, but that's probably going to be fairly rare in all honesty. We think you'll find the 5" with the W67DA to be the way to go.

Beyond that, just as an FYI, the W68DA backing plate is not a good fit with the 6" discs since the hook & loop doesn't reach all the way to the edge of the pad, and it flexes more than you really want with these discs. You really are far better off with the S6BP.
