I had it all typed out then got logged out. Anyway, the MF system is awesome. First time with the 7424XP and only got to do the hood on my wife's white Trailblazer. I had to come to work so I didn't have a lot of time. 95-99% of the swirls are gone but there were some nasty scratches/blemishes that wouldn't and probably won't completely come out with this. I think they'll need some extra spot work with a little more cut than what I'll get with the cutting pad and D300. However instead of looking like they're deep in the paint as before, they look like they're floating on the paint. Unless you know they're there and in the right light you probably won't see it.
I honestly couldn't tell a difference before and after the finishing pad/D301. Maybe what was left was slightly diminished. I did take the D301 off with alcohol though and covered up the remaining swirls and scratches with M03 on a black LC pad and M07 on microfiber applicator. A coat of Gold Class wax and I was done. The finish was baby butt smooth with a bright wet gloss. Just a little more gloss with the glaze/Gold Class than D301 but I really needed more time to work. With both it was hard to look at the white hood in the sun.
Can't wait to do my car tomorrow. A few hours with the MF system and bird poop will slide off just by looking at it. Even with my limited time I was impressed. I didn't get the results I wanted on the TB hood but that was because of my time restraints and original paint condition, not the product. Once I'm able to have a full day or two I'll have it down pat. Pics to follow in the next few days. If you're a novice like me you'll have no problem getting excellent results. Follow the advice of the experts on here and you're set. Meg's gets an A+ for this one.
