  • MF correction system when using Flex3401

I have a Flex and was interested in trying the MF system, but some have mentioned it wont work or get the results others are getting, so i wanted to ask before i buy it if it's merely the speed setting? If so, whats recommended when using the Flex? Or am i limited to stay with the foam pad system?

One other question; the car is not a factory paint job as it was repainted ~3 years ago. Is this another reason not to use the MF or is it safe?

    Thanks

You can take a minute and read my review of the MF system in this forum. The Flex DOES work, and is more than capable of doing it very well, but as a personal choice I prefer the DA over the Flex with these pads. I find they are a little too grabby for me. You may like it just fine. I think it's just personal comfort when it comes to stuff like that. Plus Flex is coming out with a 4" backing plate this month, so that may actually be a nice combo. I have the backing plate ordered right now, so as soon as it ships I can report back with more info about that.

As far as paint correction, the Flex does just as good of a job as the DA. Guess I'm just a little too much of a pansy lol

For the aftermarket paint, no one will be able to answer that without actually working your paint. I've found that this system works on aftermarket paints quite well, but not every single one. So you're just gonna have to try it and see what happens, then go from there. A single pad is only about $12, so if it doesn't work, you're not out much. But I have faith that you'll be ok
