  • So by now, all the early orderers should have their new MF disks...

Been a LONG time coming! And I'm so excited that this product is actually on the shelf and being sold!

If you've received your pads, and put them to use, I'm curious to your thoughts???? I'm gonna try and do my best to answer any questions I see out there, and I'm sure other will do the same. But please post your impressions of the new system! I'm really excited to hear feedback from the masses!

God, I sounds like I work for Meguiar's or something LOL! Guess I'm just extremely excited about this system, and want to hear what everyone's experiences are with it.

I actually wound up getting my first set of MF pads/D300 getting taken away from me...Well a friend of mine that lives in the Cayman Islands stopped by on his way home, saw the results I was achieving and away they went on a plane to K-Man. I finished the vehicle with 105/205 but by that time it was too late I was already spoiled.

I just received my second order and the products are a pleasure to work with. They do a great job, they are clean, easy and I can obtain amazing crisp, clear rotary "like" results from a DA. These MF DA products have certainly raised the bar.

I'm very excited to get my hands on my own kit. I was fortunate enough to get to play with some of the pre-production samples from the local Meguiars distributor. Unfortunately I only got to try the 3" and 6" pads, and didn't have the recommended 6" backing plate. I was using the 6" pads with the W68DA BP which is not ideal. I was still blown away by the results though.

My order is somewhere in the local customs process and I hope to have it in my hands shortly. I'm keen to try the 5" pads with the correct BP (I still have my BP from the G220).

I am placing my order tomorrow! Found a deal way to good to pass up and want to grab some more goodies as well LOL. I have a couple questions though, what size is recommended to buy, and also how many pads should we have available for use on a car?

I personally like the 5" discs
Clean the disc after each section pass
I have used a dry "Bug Sponge" with good results

              Recommended:

              Megs backing plate
Air compressor for cleaning discs after section pass.

You usually can do a single car with one or two discs.

Got my shipment yesterday and will get to use them this weekend. I'll do as Nick suggested. I have a Flex 3401, since Nick says the MF cutting pads graby, I'll take his suggestion and use the finishing MF pads with 301.

The pads work awesome. Spent my weekend polishing a pretty rough Audi A5 with them and loved the ease of use. Cleaning the pad was ultra important and I preferred compressed air for that though I did use a brush (toothbrush) as well.

Wipe off of both the compound and the finishing wax was incredibly easy.

Reading through the write Mike Stoops did on the system he says to let the Finishing Wax haze/dry, is this necessary to have it leave some protection? I used it more as a polishing step to remove a slight haze but food information for future use as an LSP it would be good to know.

I'd like to do a write-up for my first impressions of the system as well as include things that I learned during the process. Not being a professional, and since this system is marked to enthusiasts too, I believe I can provide some insight to newer users of things that are second nature to professionals that I picked up.
