Autozone is selling #26 paste for 4.99 a jar. The liquid is still 9.99. They didn't list it as a sale or anything. Is Autozone dropping the paste from their stores?
I think it may be because the packaging is being changed. They may simply be trying to remove the older style paste cans so they can bring in the newer style.
Sure hope so. That would explain why the liquid version is still full price. I have very few options as far as otc pure waxes go. There's always S100 at my local Harley dealership.
Well after missing out on the Target clearance I got in on this $4.99 for #26 paste, awesome. I'm in Oregon and this price does apply here. They had two on the shelf so I took 'em both

Yeah, I missed out on the Target clearance too. I did pick up the Gold Class package when it was on sale for $20 though. I don't think they ever had a chance to knock it down to $15 and then $7.99 here in Orlando. I recall them selling like gold when the price was knocked down to $20. That's why I went ahead and got one.
I gotta say, $4.99 for #26 paste is one of the best deals for car care I have come across in a long while.
The deal at Autozone is absolutely wonderful. I discovered it about 3 weeks ago and immediately stocked up! #26 is a fantastic wax on darker colored vehicles, and I regularly used it on all of my black cars. Be sure to stock up before it is too late!
#26 is a pure wax, meaning that it does not have any cleaning or swirling-hiding properties. The best thing to do is polish the paint beforehand to remove any defects. Then apply #26 to reveal a flawless, deep finish.
Meguiar's #26 is a blended wax and not a straight carnuaba. Moreover, it does not contain any ingredients with the intended purpose of cleaning the paint. As JSM said, you will need to remove any swirls/marring with the appropriate product first, then apply your Last Step Product (#26).
Well, I was at the local Autozone to see if they might have restocked on the #26 paste and sure enough, they're not selling it anymore. They only sell the liquid now.
