Some work today on a jet black BMW using the MF compounding pad/D300
That looks good! I thought that the new MF system's compound doesn't dust? I can see a lot of dust under the door handle.
Thank you Marc. 80-90% of the dust you see is from when I slightly tip the pad on its edge to tackle some of the deeper rids. You need to maintain good rotation with light pressure and ensure you have plenty of polish on the paint when doing this. The only downside to doing this is the dust, the dust is very minimal when using the pad as prescribed by Meguiars.
Re: Some work today on a jet black BMW using the MF compounding pad/D300
I was reading the world famous Nick Chapman's review on the system. He talked about slower speeds and still getting excellent results. I dialed my GG polisher with a 6" MFCP down to 4.5 from the 6 I was using yesterday. (I have my g110v2 setup with a 4" MFCP) At speed 4.5 I was able to do the correction pictured below. Hard to tell from the after pic, but it actually finished out better at the slower speed.
Here are a few from today, sorry not the exact same spot on the panel.
Looking forward to see more pics as I have two Jet Black details coming: 2008 X3 and 2006 325xi.

Thanks for the tips.
I worked on both cars before. They just show everything but when you polish them to high gloss they look fantastic.
Therefore I'm looking forward to Bryan's advice on DA MF System with this color. So far he's got it coming along great.

That depends on how deep the defects are. So if after a good wash and IPA wipedown to remove any previous glazes/waxes, the defects are minimal (one in a million chance) yes you could be in luck.
