  • Paint ReCondtioning Cream

I really want to buy some PRC and I'm wondering what its capable of. Does anyone have and before and afters of PRC in action preferably when used with a DA. I would appreciate if you can post some pics. Thanks everyone.

It does have a decent amount of cut and will remove many swirls and light scratches depending on the pad you choose.

Personally, it's not my favorite. I find it too thick and difficult to deal with in general.

D151 PRC is my favorite 1-step liquid. It cuts pretty fast even when used with a DA polisher and leaves surface glossy.

You could also use it as a 2-step product switching to less aggressive pad in step 2 and reapplying it, or you could top it with your favorite finishing wax for extended protection.

PRC works great with all type of polishers: rotary, DA, orbital, and can also be applied by hand (I'm not a fan of D151 by hand). You could use it with either yellow polishing or black finishing pads. Speed 4 is recommended for defect removal on DAs with yellow pad and speed 2-3 for polishing/ waxing with black pad.

ADS has a sample sizes available of D151 so before 1-gallon purchase you could first try it out.

I have some after pics so I'll post them after searching my library.

2002 Audi A4 was the trickiest to correct due to its clear coat hardness. Before D151 buffing the car looked grey intead of black. The hood required 4 passes with Ultimate Compound due to RIDS.

2009 Lexus RX 400h was the most cooperating and it came out like new.

1969 Pontiac LeMans was repainted with modern base coat/ clear coat paint. Fun to work on. The hood had several RIDS. All removed.
