    M83
    ultimate compund
    scratchX 2.0
    Meguiar's Cleaner Wax Liquid

With a dual action polisher, you do not use the wool pads. they are for a rotary.
Secondly, Meguairs does not recommend using the red foam cutting pad with the Dual action.
i would go with the yellow foam pads.

Also you do not mention anything about clay. after washing your vehicle, I would use the clay.

Heed J.A.'s advice, he's always right on.

Before squirting any 105 on your pads, try a little less aggressive method on a "test spot". Ultimate Compound and a Meguiar's yellow pad will work wonders. Try a slow arm speed with a DA speed of 3-4. If that doesn't do it, raise the DA speed to 5 and make sure you are overlapping your passes. Check your progress in your test spot often. There are some excellent videos on this web site check them out if you haven't already.

Report back what you find and if possible include some photos. The wise ones here will be able to help you out.

        Good luck.

Do not use red Meguiar's pad or wool pad with a DA.

J.A. or someone else will correct me, but 80 and 83 are used more often with fresh paint.

If you have thoroughly washed, dried, clay-barred and created a test spot of 2'x2' area with Ultimate Compound using a yellow Meguiar's pad at speed 5 pressing down with nearly enough pressure to slow the DA, then move up to a more aggressive product like 105. However, make sure you have used Ultimate Compound to it's full capacity and with what is described as "passion". Right-left, up-down over lapping by 50% with each pass, slow arm speed and substantial pressure.

The other thought of course is are you creating new swirls being too aggressive?

                  Re: M80-m83

Is this factory paint or a repaint? Is it single stage or base coat/clear coat?

We are a bit concerned about you wanting to go to a wool pad and M105 just to remove swirl marks - that is an incredibly aggressive approach and is actually strong enough to remove 1000 grit sanding marks with a rotary buffer.

Too many times we've seen people go more aggressive when what they really needed was to go less aggressive. When dealing with delicate paint, even a moderately aggressive approach will cause more swirls and marring than it removes - or it could just create a very high level of haze that leaves the paint looking sort of dull and lifeless. Obviously this is more apparent on non metallic black than any other color.

Before you go the very aggressive route, we suggest you read through The Challenge of Delicate Paint as it might save you a lot of frustration.
